Roxsolt Attaquer has started the 2019 season in a giant way, winning the Lexus of Blackburn Bay Classic Criterium Series (Bay Crits) General Classification, Teams Classification and Stage 3, The Elite & U23 Australian National Road Cycling Championships and the U23 Australian National Road Championships - Individual Time Trial.
Valentina Scandolara (Italy) has returned to lead Roxsolt Attaquer for #Season5 which sees the team return to the USA for the second year. #Season5 marks a return to the team’s foundations with a focus on a team brought together by the riders and a schedule for the riders to provide the opportunity to race in the USA. The team starts racing at the UCI 2.2 Tour of the Gila on the 18thof April and concludes with the Intelligentsia Cup at the end of July 2018.
In the lead up to their international race block, RoxsoltAttaquer will use the NRS Battle on the Border and Mersey Valley Tour as critical race preparation. The time trials of both races will be crucially important for RoxsoltAttaquer, with the distances replicating the time trials that will be raced in Europe later in the year.
“The Australian Subaru NRS is of a very high standard and while the racing is a little shorter and size of the peloton smaller it serves as great preparation for international racing,” said Kelvin Rundle, RoxsoltAttaquer team owner.
In January all eyes are on Buninyong for super Sunday and the Australian National Road Championships or #RoadNats. Across the ditch in the Art Deco Capital of the World, Napier and taking in the spectacular wine country that is Hawkes Bay is the smaller but just as gruelling New Zealand Road Championships or #EliteRoads. With the #RoxsoltAttaquer team assembled on both sides of the ditch this is the story of Nationals Weekend.
