Melbourne Firepower Boosts #RoxsoltLadies to First Podium for 2016

Doueal and Baggs join #RoxsoltLadies - Achieve 1st podium for 2016 in racing debut.

The New South Wales Criterium Championships marked the 1st race for both Elizabeth Doueal and Chloe Baggs who have joined #RoxsoltLadies for 2016. Doueal finished 3rd in a tough race over a 750 metre hotdog circuit held at the Eastern Creek Dragway car park in western Sydney.

The 30 minute plus 3 laps race was animated by Baggs and her aggressive nature that saw numerous solo attacks launched off the front. The early break coming just 6 minutes into the race lasted for nearly half the race and saw a number of riders eliminated. A decisive move of two riders went in the closing laps that saw Elizabeth and Australian National Criterium Champion, Sophie Mackay having to chase, with the pair unable to close the gap in torrential rain to race winner Amy Vesty.

Elizabeth will race the VRS Tour of East Gippsland at the end of Feb. before being reunited with the #RoxsoltLadies for the Oceania Championships in Bendigo followed by the Victorian Criterium Championships at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit on the 6th of March.

Chloe will continue to focus on track racing, pairing up with Ella Scanlan-Bloor for the Bendigo International Madison for #RoxsoltLadies before returning to New South Wales with Elizabeth on the 3rd of April for the New South Wales Road Race Championships.
